AssignmentKit is an AI-powered academic writing assistant that helps users plan, draft, and refine academic assignments. The Service includes features such as AI-generated content suggestions, autocomplete, citation assistance, structural guidance, and diagram generation.
Important: AssignmentKit is a writing assistant tool. All content generated by the Service is intended as a starting point and should be reviewed, edited, and verified by you. You are solely responsible for the final content you submit for academic or any other purposes.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.

- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service.
You acknowledge that you bear full responsibility for ensuring your use of AI-generated content complies with your educational institution's policies on academic integrity and the use of AI tools.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Our Property
The Service, including its design, code, features, branding, and documentation, is owned by AssignmentKit and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand elements.
5.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of the original content you input into the Service (such as your assignment briefs and notes). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
5.3 AI-Generated Content
Content generated by the Service's AI features is provided for your personal use. You may use, modify, and incorporate AI-generated content into your work, subject to your institution's policies. We do not claim ownership of AI-generated output.
6. Subscriptions & Payments
Certain features of the Service may require a paid subscription. If you purchase a subscription:
- You agree to pay all fees associated with your chosen plan.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Prices may change with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
- Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable law and our refund policy.
7. Free Tier & Usage Limits
We may offer a free tier with limited usage. We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue the free tier at any time without prior notice.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:

- AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, original, or free from plagiarism.

9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AssignmentKit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or academic outcomes arising from your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
